Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Polymation (the "Service"), operated by Paradoxsyn, an individual sole proprietor based in California, USA ("we," "us," or "our"). By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Please read section 14. It requires most disputes to be resolved by individual arbitration rather than in court and waives class actions. You can opt out within 30 days.
1. The Service
Polymation is a software tool distributed via npm and provided as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI clients programmatically create, edit and convert animation files, including Rive (.riv and .rev), Lottie, Spline and Figma files. The Service consists of:
- The Polymation software (downloadable via npm)
- License key validation and device-binding via our hosted API
- Optional support via Discord and email
Polymation is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rive Inc. "Rive" is a trademark of Rive Inc.
2. Subscription and Billing
Each user account on a computer gets 3 free exports with no license key. Beyond those, access to the Service requires a paid subscription billed at $10.00 USD per month through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
- Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically each month at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Price changes: We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice via email or website notice. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
- Taxes: Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which you are responsible for.
- Payment failures: If a charge fails, we may suspend or terminate your access until payment is resolved.
3. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the customer portal or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
Refunds: All payments are non-refundable except where required by law. We may, at our sole discretion, issue refunds on a case-by-case basis (e.g., accidental duplicate purchase, extended outage).
4. License Keys and Device Limit
Each subscription grants you a license key tied to your account. The license key may be activated on up to five (5) unique devices. If you exceed this limit, contact support to deregister an old device.
License keys are personal to you and may not be shared, resold, sublicensed, or transferred. We reserve the right to revoke license keys that we reasonably believe are being shared or abused, without refund.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service, except to the extent permitted by applicable law
- Resell, rent, lease, or redistribute the Service or your license key
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights
- Attempt to circumvent license validation, device binding, or rate limits
- Use the Service to generate unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without prior written permission
- Access, scrape, crawl, copy, or index our website, licence service, or their data by automated means, except through the Service's normal operation
We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms, with or without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, code, designs, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during the term of your active subscription.
Output: The .riv files and other output you create using the Service belong to you. We claim no ownership over your generated content.
7. Your Files and Copyright Requests
You are responsible for the files and content you use with the Service. You confirm that you have the rights needed to use them, and that our software's processing them at your direction will not infringe anyone's rights.
If you believe material we host infringes your copyright, send our designated agent at [email protected] a notice with the information required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3): your contact details; the work; the material and where it is; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act; and your signature. We respond to valid notices and terminate repeat infringers' access in appropriate circumstances.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party services including Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), and npm (distribution). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party services.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, the files and content you use with it, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice with at least 30 days' notice when reasonably possible. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Dispute Resolution
Informal resolution first. Before starting a claim, you and we each agree to send the other a written description of the dispute (to us at [email protected]) and to try in good faith to resolve it for 60 days.
Binding individual arbitration. If it isn't resolved, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, not in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may ask a court for injunctive relief against infringement or misuse of intellectual property. Fees are allocated under those rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitrator decides every issue except questions about the scope, validity and enforceability of the class-action waiver and the mass-filing terms, which a court decides.
No class actions; no jury. You and we may bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate claims or award relief to anyone other than the individual party. You and we waive any right to a jury trial.
Mass filings. If 25 or more similar demands are filed by or with the help of the same law firm or coordinated group, they will be administered under the American Arbitration Association's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules in batches of up to 50, with limitation periods tolled while demands wait for their batch.
Public injunctive relief. Nothing in this section waives a right to seek public injunctive relief that cannot be waived under applicable law; such a claim will be decided by a court after the individual arbitration ends.
Opting out. You may opt out of this section within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing [email protected] with your name, the email on your subscription and a statement that you opt out of arbitration.
Existing users. If you accepted an earlier version of these Terms, this section applies to disputes that arise after November 16, 2026, unless you opt out.
Outside the US. If you live in the EU, the UK or another place where this section can't be enforced against consumers, it does not apply to you, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to section 14, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16. Transfer
We may assign or transfer these Terms and our rights and obligations under them, without your consent, to an affiliate or successor (including a company formed to operate the Service), or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent.
17. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact [email protected].
